Kilian Mayer

Hi, I'm Kilian. I study computer science at HAW Hamburg. I know a lot about programming languages like C, Rust, Java, Kotlin, Dart, Python, JavaScript, HTML and CSS.

I have experience in front-end and back-end development using frameworks and tools such as React, Next.js, Svelte, Tailwind CSS, Flutter and Spring Boot. I am also familiar with several SQL databases.

I recently worked at itestra GmbH as a student software developer, contributing to a large-scale insurance project. My responsibilities included migrating legacy C code to Java, building UIs with React, and developing backend services using Spring Boot. I was also involved in designing database schemas, writing unit and integration tests, and working with CI/CD pipelines. I am currently specialising in machine learning and robotics at university.

Outside of work and university, I enjoy working on personal projects, such as running my own home server and configuring Nixos, as well as working on several projects. The projects I have finished are available on my GitHub. When I’m not coding, you’ll probably find me at concerts, playing football or enjoying winter sports.
